During an educational trip, the ENT specialist Katrin Schwitters meets a charming stranger who brazenly introduces himself as a secret service agent from Russia. When a storm hits, the two are stranded on a North Sea island and spend an astonishingly playful evening together, because Katrin also slips into the role of an agent on a secret mission – and “real” life is ignored during this exciting flirt.

For Katrin, who always wants to have everything under control, it is absolutely clear that this is nothing but a one-night stand. But adventure collides with security, and seduction clashes with structure, and nothing is as it was before. After returning home to her well-ordered everyday life with her husband Mark and the two children Elisa and Bastian, she can’t get that coincidental affair out of her head. When she joins some friends to help prepare the postponed wedding of her girlfriend Sanne, the mysterious stranger is unexpectedly also a member of the group.

Now Katrin finds out that his name is Peter, he works as a restorer, his wife is Elena, and they are new in town. Something that had been but a fleeting dream now becomes a real option. And Peter also feels magically attracted to Katrin. In the meantime, Mark realizes that his wife is undergoing a major change. Katrin has to decide whether to take an emotional risk she is will not be able to control.
