The disciplinary complaint poses a considerable problem for Peter Faber, he gets in an argument with the police psychologist that evening – and now shots are fired in Dortmund’s harbor. Faber arrives just in time to save one of the two people floating in the water. The other person can only be recovered dead. When Inspector Martina Bönisch catches a glimpse of the dead person’s face, she immediately associates it with a missing persons case that nearly drove her mad as a young police officer 14 years before.
And since Inspectors Faber and Bönisch are biased for various reasons, considerable demands are placed on Inspectors Daniel Kossik and Nora Dalay.
